So last night I received the assessment for my fiction-fantasy book “Twins at War”.
Osborne Porter Literary Services have offered a wonderful and comprehensive assessment, and in my opinion they’ve done a great job in finding weaknesses and strengths in the work. So I’m happy about that side of things.
I’m a little discouraged that I didn’t do better, though. At best, I think I scored an overall ‘average’ (putting all the scores into account) and the book is not ready to be submitted to a publisher yet. I’ve got to work on my wordiness, most of all apparently, which I’m disappointed to hear. I didn’t think it would be perfect, but was hoping I would do better.
So it’s back to fixing the book again, and I admit I’m a little tired of the work so I may put it on the shelf for a while and come back to it. For the approximately two of you out there who were looking forward to reading it in a finished form, I’m sorry 🙂 Looks like we’re still a LONG way away.
